CORNELL UNIVERSITY


It is a private University located in the Ithaca, New York. It was established in 1865. It was founded by Ezra Cornell and Andrew Dickson White. It was intended in the beginning that the University will impart knowledge in almost every field from Arts to Science and also Theoretical and Applied knowledge. It was a motto of the institution that any person could find instructions of his choice in this institute. Its president is Hunter R. Raw-lings. This institute is since its founding the admissions in it are not restricted by religion or race.

The University is organized in seven undergraduate and seven graduate schools. Colleges and Schools of university are enlisted in below lines:

According to the ranking of CWUR in 2015 Cornell University ranked domestically on 8th position and internationally it is ranked number 10th. According to QS World University ranking, it is ranked on the 17th number. According to the view of Times Higher Education World University Ranking, it got the 18th position.

Student Population:

There is nearly 21000 students are enrolled in the University in its both programs whether undergraduate or graduate. 14000 in undergraduates programs and above 7000 in post graduate programs.

Notable Alumni of Cornell University:

Many living Billionaires and Scholars are Alumni of this University. It is the only one which has three female unshared Nobel Prize winners. These three female are:

  • Pearl S. Buck
