This (Harvard University) is one of the earliest institutions of United States established in 1636. It is a private research University. Located in the Cambridge, Massachusetts. It is named after John Harvard its first benefactor. University has eleven separate academic units, ten faculties and also a Radcliffe institute for advanced study. Its campuses are located in Boston Metropolitan area.

Harvard University highly ranked by many universities rankings in not only the USA but also all over the world. In 2009 it was the first choice by the parents. Harvard was the first University in the world in terms of Alumni in 2011. In 2013 Harvard was the second most favorite choice or Dream College for both students and parents.

The student population is approximately 20,000 in all programs (Graduate, Undergraduate, and Professional) offered by the University. There is not a big difference between the ratio of male and female students of the University.
